When devices are connected within the controller, in some cases you may see an exclamation mark next to the Connected status.
If you click onto the device the error will expand within the properties panel and state 'STUN Communications Error' as shown below.
This is an indication that the controller is unable to communicate securely via the STUN protocol to the device, meaning some features within the controller cannot be used properly.
In order for STUN to work, the UDP port 3478 will need to be opened inbound within the router/firewall. Once the STUN port has been opened, you may need to power cycle the unit to make sure the changes have been applied.
Please note: The STUN port for your controller may be different from the default port 3478. Contact support@unificloud.co.uk to confirm the ports for your controller.
