Using the Map feature on the controller can be an extremely useful tool when attempting to troubleshoot connectivity and Wi-Fi range issues. First of all you need to create the map within the controller to then build your layout.
To create the map, you will need to navigate to the Map page on the controller, and select ‘Add New Map’ in the top right-hand corner.
Once an image/map is uploaded and saved, you can start to plot the layout of the environment. These steps can be found on our article UniFi - Controller: Adding Walls to the Map.
**PLEASE NOTE** We usually would recommend uploading your own floor plan as you can add more detail to the map. However, if you are looking to just simply visualise your network in a larger space, then using Google Maps is also viable
