When looking to place devices onto a map, you will need to select the icon as shown below to show a list of available units.
You can either add devices that have been adopted on the controller or virtual devices for future planning purposes. These can be added by simply clicking and dragging the units to position on your map/image. Selecting the unit gives you the option to (from left to right) lock the position of the unit, view the Device Properties, view the RF environment, and remove the unit (when unlocked).
When the units are in place within your map, you can select and apply labels to identify each device. This will be very useful to users with a large number of devices.
