In some scenarios, if you have a complex network set up, you may sometimes see one of the ports on your switch reporting as "Blocked" like the image below:



This is showing that the port is being blocked due to RSTP (Rapid Spanning Tree Protocol). This means that somewhere in your setup, there is a potential network loop, much like the example below:


If a loop like this is present within your network, the switch will automatically block the port that could cause the loop, preventing it from a major network crash. We would recommend to ensure that no such loops are within your network and then restart the port on the controller. If you are sure that there are no loops within your network and you still see the blocked port, please contact us and we will investigate this further.
