Different admin types within the UniFi controller
Within the controller, there are three different roles available for users.
1. Administrator - This role offers the highest level of permissions on the UniFi Controller software. Administrators have full visibility and configuration access to all sites on the controller. This role is exclusive to UniFiCloud staff and customers on our Dedicated Controller service.
2. Site Administrator - The default role for customers using our UniFiCloud-hosted service. Site Administrators can make changes to any sites they are added to but do not have access to back-end controller settings.
3. Read Only - This role provides the lowest level of permissions. Read-only users can view the sites they are added to but cannot make any configuration changes.
When assigning a user to a Site Administrator or Read-only role, they will only have access to the sites associated with their email address. If an account includes multiple sites, the user will only see the sites you have granted them access to.
