Where to find your UniFi device authentication password

When accessing devices locally via SSH, you will be prompted to enter a username and password. If the device is in its factory reset state, the default credentials are ubnt/ubnt

Once the device has been adopted to a controller instance, the default credentials will be overwritten with a new username and password. To find this information, navigate to the settings page within the site where the device is allocated on the controller: go to System > Advanced > Device Authentication.

Important: If you need to change the device authentication username or password, avoid using special characters in the username field.
