An RF Scan may need to be performed if you are experiencing channel interference and connectivity issues over WiFi. This test is carried out to analyse the 2.4GHz and 5GHz radio frequencies to find the least utilised channels in order to avoid interference. This interference can result in slow WiFi speeds.

To perform an RF Scan, you will need to go to the devices page > click on the device you want to check (properties will appear on the right hand side) > Tools > RF Environment > Scan.

Once the scan has been completed, the access points will automatically assign themselves to the least utilised channels and you will be able to see the results of the scan in the device properties.

Please Note: If you have manually set channels in the radio settings, the RF Scan will not overwrite this configuration with the least utilised channels, it will stay on the ones configured in the Radio settings.
